GO SHOW

With beautiful decorations adorning the Gransberg Community Room, tasty treats from caterers, and no shortage of unique wedding ideas from the vendors, Jan. 14’s 2016 GO Show at the Gorecki Alumni Center made for a wonderful evening out.

Wedding photographers were present to show off their work to more than 225 guests, as were floral and wedding designers, who had beautiful table set-ups on display. Twenty different vendors were in attendance, ranging from event planners Relax Event Studio and event producers HB Sound & Light to travel agency Monarch Travel & Tours.

“After booking the Gorecki Alumni Center for our wedding, the GO Show made us fall in love with the building even more,” said Eryn Hoefs, a current UND Nursing student and soon-to-be bride. “The staff is wonderful and they were able to create an amazing vision for our big day.”

Guests got a taste of possible dessert options courtesy of Lb Cakes, and enjoyed catering from Blue Moose Bar & Grill and the Ground Round as well as some choice drinks from El Roco. Other vendors included Point Paradise Stables, which offers horse-drawn carriage rides for a number of events, bridal shop Affairs by Brittany, and skincare professionals Sublime Aesthetic.

One of the night’s highlights was a mock wedding ceremony, taking place in the Gransberg. A dance party followed, complete with music and a dance floor, giving guests a look at the full capabilities of the building and its facilities.
